HOPE is an international NGO that supports economic self-reliance starting with the provision of “clean water” for those in ultra-poverty in S.E. Asia and Africa.

HOPE's projects help people receive support, acquire skills and knowledge, and then take ownership of the project, to become self-reliant and walk away on their own after the project is over.

HOPE's work is grounded in values that I respect and admire. I learned about HOPE from my IAFOR friend Lowell Sheppard, who has inspired me to do this charity run to raise money for this effective and top-rated organisation.

Running this marathon feels like a massive challenge. The memories and good energy of running with my children gives me courage and motivation to keep going and run for hope!
